Abstract Li-Fi stands for Light Fidelity. Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking technology that uses light emitting diodes LEDs for transmission of data. Li-Fi provides better bandwidth, efficiency, connectivity and security than Wi-Fi and has already achieved high speeds larger than 1 Gbps under the laboratory conditions. By Leveraging the low-cost nature of LEDs and lighting units, there are lots of opportunities to exploit this medium.
It is the transmission of information utilizing light waves by fluctuating the intensity of the light speedier than human observation that follows VLC technology. VLC utilizes quick beats of light to transmit data remotely. It uses LEDs is rising as a key innovation for a universal correspondence framework, since LED has the benefits of quick exchanging, long future, being less costly and being obvious light that is secure for the human body.
